Congruent with design, illustration assumes the role of a dynamic communicator. Through each narrative, each visual moment, illustration has that rare ability to go anywhere the mind sees fit. It does more than depict a person, place or thing; it assigns them moods, ideas and realities to reinforce -- or challenge -- existing perceptions. Illustration performs where photography sometimes cannot.
